Week 2! – APP’s Project Charter Excerpts

Project Summary Excerpt

The Bucknell-Burma Connection has been an on-and-off topic at Bucknell from the beginning of the relationship in 1848 when Shaw Loo first came to Bucknell until now. I wanted to take a look at all the scattered information available online and offline, and compile it into a single accessible website. Furthermore, I want to add more information about some of the events through research and pull together explanations of why certain events happened as they did.

This website is intended mainly for Bucknell students, and secondarily for people in Burma who are interested in an international connection that has sustained for more than 150 years.

Environmental Scan Excerpt

There have been some attempts to revive and keep a longstanding relationship between Bucknell and Burma, and from these attempts, there has been a library archive subcategory that is part no longer easily accessible or available. Some of the information is available if you know how to search for it, as I have stumbled into, but it still remains much an inaccessible topic.
