I plan on my project to incorporate heavy data visualization along with text based descriptions. From the tools that we learned how to use, tableau and arc gis would be able to portray my project the best. Visually seeing the patterns of transmission along with the locations of affected places will allow my project to tell the story I intend.
Tableou offers a wide range of visualization options along with customary details. Using a global map to highlight important locations allows the user to see things such as the changes in reported cases or the number of available phyciksiancs from year to year. Visually presenting these statistics is important in the overall project purpose. By being able to outline the issues that these communities are facing helps the viewer understand this purpose.
Unlike tableau, arc gis is more equipped with data layers and has more options in terms of presenting. Tableau has a data based design and arc gis is more friendly with text. If there was a way to combine the two tools I would be able to present both aspects of my project in a way that the text compliments the visualized data.
