So I wasn’t at the meeting on Friday, but I did get all of the paper feedback. I got suggestions to edit some of the longer pieces of text on the site as well as to make it more visually pleasing. So to do this, on the About page I added in pictures of the logos for the various tools I had used throughout the project. I also edited the page so I had some information about DSSRF and how it has been allowing me to do all this research this summer and providing me with the tools to do so. I also changed some of the header pictures on my pages, just because someone had thought they looked too positive. It was a picture of a woman’s hands tied, so the reaction was very unexpected, but the more I looked at it I kind of understood what they were saying. So I changed the picture and I think it’s much more impactful now. I also got some suggestions to break up the long pages of text so I’m still trying to find an idea of how to change that into a more interactive way of reading it so people don’t get bored. Some people also suggested adding explanations of the laws under the timeline, so I am going to put those in as well.
