The first tool that I’m going to incorporate into my website is a timeline of the laws that have been passed and any noticeable events having to do with human trafficking in the US. I think this is a good way to present the information because rather than just having a list of various laws or acts, people looking at my website will be able to conceptualize when they have been passed or when things have happened. It’s a more hands-on approach and they’ll be able to follow along with the process and progress and I think that’s important. The second tool that I’ll be implementing is a map. I will use GIS to have the major routes and highways in PA highlighted, and then when you scroll over various points on the route, or when you click on it, links to articles with short summaries will come up. This will allow my audience to see what is happening and where exactly it’s happening, which I think is an important part of connecting to the general public. It makes these events more real.
